Petrarch's Epistle to Clement VI
In 1342 Petrarch wrote an epistle in verse to Clement VI, who was in Avignon, lamenting the derelict state of the City of Rome and begging the pope to reduce the gap between Jubilees to 50 years

Francesco Petrarca to Guglielmo da Pastrengo
Petrarca was a pilgrim in the Jubilee of 1350. Here he addresses an epistle to his friend Guglielmo da Pastrengo exhorting the man to accompany him to Rome, where, he says, comes people from many european countries. Guglielmo doesn't accept his invitation and Petrarca makes the journey alone.

Matteo Villani finished his older brother Giovanni's work under his death in 1348. In this passage (Book 1, Ch. 29) he explains how Clement Vi reached the decision to hold a Jubilee in 1350

Entry: "Iubileus annus" from Dictionarium iuris, by Albericus de Rosate
Albericus de Rosate was a jurist, born in Bergamo in the late 13th century and died in 1360. His legal dictionary is the first reference work in the legal sector, although scientific rigour is sometimes replaced by autobiographical comments. In the entry ""Iubileus annus", the jubilee year, Albericus first mentions the biblical background of the jubilee and the bulls of indiction of 1350 and 1300 and then goes on to tell us about his own participation in Clement VI's jubilee, with his wife and their three children

The Cardinal of Ceccano, Papal Legate, comes to Rome to start the Jubilee
The Jubilee of 1350 announced during the so-called "captivity at Avignon", was celebrated in the absence of the Pope. Clement VI did announce the Jubille but never came to Rome for the celebrations. Annibaldo Caetani, Cardinal of Ceccano, stood in for the Pope.

Among the pilgrims in 1350 there was Francesco Petrarca. He probably left from Padua, headed for Rome to gain the indulgence of the jubilee year, which he himself had asked for to Clemens VI some years ago in a heartsick metric epistle. During the journey he stopped in Florence where he met personally a great fan of his: Giovanni Boccaccio. When he arrived in Rome, on 2 November 1350, Petrarca wrote to Boccaccio about the end of his journey.
