King Ferrante and his court in Rome for the Jubilee of 1475
A number of sovereigns and aristocrats came to Rome for the Jubilee of 1475, including the sovereigns of Denmark, Bosnia, Hungary (Matthias Corvinus) and, from the Kingdom of Naples, Ferdinand I of Aragon, who brought along his whole court and made great donations to the pontiff. Stefano Infessura recalled this in his “Diario di Roma”, one of the most important sources on late fifteenth-century Rome
